The Cincinnati Reds and Star 1st Baseman, Joey Votto, have agreed to a 3-year, $38 Million contract.
The contract, which would avoid arbitration, is pending a physical that is scheduled for Monday. This deal would cover all of Votto's arbitration years, and still allow him to be a free agent in 2013.
The 27 year old won the National League MVP Award, along with the Hank Aaron Award. He also batted .324 in 2010, which was 2nd in the NL, had 37 home runs, which was 3rd in the NL, he also was 3rd in the NL in RBIs with 113.
The Reds still have 3 players eligible for arbitration, all of them pitchers, which are Edinson Volquez, Johnny Cueto, and Bill Bray. We will keep you updated on each of the Reds moves.
