Larry Davis had 13 points in UC's loss to Pitt, Saturday. |
Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh, biggest sporting event for a Pittsburgh team in the near future. Ha, no just kidding, because we all know what is tomorrow at 6:30. You know, it's something the WHOLE CITY OF PITTSBURGH will be watching. It's..."Bewitched" on TV Land duh.
Anyways, let's get back to the Bearcats vs. Panthers game. The Cincinnati Bearcats were 18-4 overall and 5-4 in Big East play, while Pitt was 20-2 and 8-1 in Big East play.
The Panthers were heavily favored, and uh yeah, they dominated as they won the game 71-59. Yeah, it was not a good game for the Bearcats.
It was not a good game for any of the starters either, none of the Cincy starters had double-digits, the most points for a starter was 7, which belonged to Thomas.
There were two 'Cats in doubles though, Larry Davis and Anthony McClain. Davis had 13 and McClain had 10.
The Panthers also had only two players in double-figures, but the thing is, their leading scorer did not have 13, they had 25. The man I am talking about is Ashton Gibbs. Gilbert Brown was the other player in doubles as he had 11 points.
So, UC falls to 18-5, still a good overall record, but their Big East record falls to 5-5, which is no surprise, I mean c'mon man, they are in the BIG EAST, golly.
Next up for the Bearcats is DePaul, who has not looked good in Big East play. That is a road game for UC, and is on Tuesday at 7 PM ET and will be on ESPN2.
