By: Javier LopezThe Cincinnati Bearcats (12-6, 3-3 Big East) were hosting the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame (14-4, 3-2 Big East). Cincinnati ended up winning in a close game, 60-58.
Yancy Gates made the game winning shot, with two seconds left to give UC the win. Rashad Bishop had 10 points, 3 of the coming from the free throw line in the last 4:02. Lance Stephenson had nine points. The game was tied at 58 with 23 seconds left, but UC was able to get the previously mentioned basket by Yancy Gates to get the win.
Notre Dame started the game with a 7-0 run, and the Bearcats fell behind at the half with the score of 32-25.
Next, Cincinnati will host South Florida on Wednesday, the 20th. The game will be at 7:00 PM ET and will be on FSN Ohio.
