This just in, veteran wide receiver, Terrell Owens is 1 day away from being a Bengal. Owens has agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals, and will sign what is expected to be, a 1 year, 4 million dollar contract.
"Our team is excited and pleased across the board, Terrell is a proven, productive player who can come in and help us. It's a big move for us, one that we really think is going to help us." said Head Coach, Marvin Lewis.
This is what Chad Ochocinco said when he found out that Owens was a Bengal (via Twitter). "My homeboy is a Bengal all our games have been moved to pay-per-view," Chad later on said that he was so happy that he could not talk, but Chad not talking in unheard of. So, he continued. “You don’t realize how big this is for our team, the city, football,” The Ocho said. “Our offense is going to be unfair. How can you stop us? There are going to be some games (running back) Cedric Benson is going to be able to play without his cleats. I don’t think there has ever been a tandem like this.”
Perhaps, this is a good thing. I felt negative about T.O. coming to Cincinnati, due to his attitude, and age/talent. Even though Terrell Owens may be a future Hall-Of-Famer, he is not nearly as good as he used to be.
Who knows, maybe I am wrong and he will put up numbers like he did when he was in San Francisco, and hopefully, not numbers like he did in Buffalo.
