Xavier survives UMASS

The Xavier Musketeers (16-5, 8-1) were visiting the UMASS Minutemen (8-14. 2-6).  Xavier lead to start the game, then exploaded to take a 17 point lead at the half.  In the second half, UMASS rallied, they took the lead, but Xavier started to work hard.  The game was with in five almost all of the second half, and Xavier held off the Minutemen by winning, 87-79.

Jordan Crawford lead the Musketeers with a game high, 25 points.  Jamel McLean had a double-double, posting 14 points and 11 rebounds.  Terrell Holloway had 16 points for XU while Jason Love added 15.

Xavier leads the Atlantic 10, just above Temple and Charolotte.

Next, Xavier will travel to UD arena to take on the Dayton Flyers. The game is set for noon, and will be televised on ESPN2.
