Chapman Placed On DL, Smith Recalled

Reds hard-throwing lefty, Aroldis Chapman, was placed on the DL, while reliever, Jordan Smith was called from AAA Louisville.


Chapman is being placed on the DL due to left shoulder inflammation.  You could tell something had to be wrong yesterday when Aroldis came in and walked 4 batters and threw barley any strikes.  


Jordan Smith started the year for Cincinnati, but was sent down to make room for Homer Bailey and Johnny Cueto.
