Xavier Junior Guard, Brad Redford, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament that will require reconstructive surgery.
Xavier University Head Team Physician Robert R. Burger, M.D., said: “Brad Redford suffered a left knee anterior cruciate ligament tear during a practice session yesterday. Because of the nature of the injury, he will undergo reconstructive surgery sometime in the near future. We anticipate Brad will miss the 2010-11 season but will make a full recovery for the future.”
This is not good news for the Xavier basketball team. Redford established himself as one of the nations best three-point shooters.
