The #2 Ohio State Buckeyes, who were 5-0, were in the 'Shoe taking on the Indiana Hoosiers, who were 3-1. Ohio State was coming off of a close game win over Illinois, while IU was coming off of a tough loss to Michigan. Also, Terrelle Pryor was injured in last weeks game, but he did not show any signs of that against Indiana, as Ohio State had their way vs. Indy, as they won 38-10, here's how.
Just 2 minutes into the game, and after 3 pass plays, Dan Herron took it to the house, a 39-yard touchdown run, and OSU was on top 7-0. Then. with about 6 and a half minutes left in the 1st quarter, Terrelle Pryor connected with Dane Sanzenbacher through the air for a 22 yard score, 14-0 at the end of the 1st.
The 2nd quarter would be all Ohio State. 2 minutes into the quarter, Brandon Saine caught a 60 yard touchdown pass from Pryor, a longin', 21-0. Then, with about 7 minutes to go in the 2nd, Posey was on the receiving end from Pryor, in the endzone, 17 yard touchdown pass, 28-0 the score. Ohio State would add a 36 yard field goal off the foot of Barclay before the half, 31-0 the score.
In the 3rd quarter, both teams scored once. OSU scored 1st with a 8 yard touchdown run from Boom Herron, 38-0 the score.
The Indiana Hoosiers would get a 36 yard field goal from Mitch Ewald to make it 38-7.
In the 4th quarter, their would only be 1 score, that would be a 1 yard TD run by Antonio Banks, 38-10 the score, and that's how she finished.
Terrelle Pryor, who some thought would be limited, looked better than ever today. He went 24/30, had a career high 334 yards, passed for 3 touchdowns, and had no picks. So the Heisman candidate rebounds from a not-so-great effort last week.
As for another Heisman candidate, Denard Robinson, QB for Michigan, his team lost to Michigan State, good news. Also, Northwestern lost to Purdue, so there remains 2 unbeaten teams in the Big Ten, that being Ohio State, and Michigan State.
#1Alabama lost to #19South Carolina, so more than likely, Ohio State will be the #1 team in the nation when the polls come out.
Next week, Ohio State will play in their biggest test yet, at Wisconsin. Game time is at 7:00 PM ET and will be televised on ESPN.
