It's official, the Cincinnati Bengals cannot have a .500 record or worse this year as they pick up their 9th win and improve to 9-3 after beating the Lions 23-13. Here is how.
To start things out, after a Palmer pick, Detroit got the ball. Stafford threw for a home run ball and found #81, Calvin Johnson for a 54 yard TD pass to give the Lions as 7-0 lead. However, Cincinnati would tie it up when Stafford connected, with the wrong team. Jonathan Fanene picked it off and took it back 45 yards, 7-7. The Bengals would take the lead when Carson Palmer found Chad Ochocinco sliding to make a 36 yard TD catch and make it 14-7 Bengals on top. Later on, after 3 Shayne Graham field goals, Cincy had a 23-7 lead. Detroit would find a little something to be happy about when Kevin Smith ran for a 2 yard TD, the 2 pointer was failed, it did not matter and Cincinnati wins 23-13.
Palmer did good, 17/29, 220 yards, 1 TD and 2 picks. Ochocinco had a great day, 9 receptions, 137 yards, and 1 TD. Benson ran 36 yards, picking up 110 yards, but no TDs.
Next the Bengals will go to Minnesota to take on Brett Favre and the Vikings.
