UK holds off Bama

By:  Cooper Ledford

The Kentucky Wildcats (23-1, 8-1) were hosting the Crimson Tide from Alabama (13-11, 3-7).  The Wildcats ended up beating Bama, 66-55.

John Wall had 22 points and 10 rebounds in his first double-double, while DeMarcus Cousins got his seventh strait double-double (16 points, 13 rebounds), which is the most by a Wildcat in 37 years.

Even though Wall and Cousins did good, fans say that they could have done better.  People say that Wall was not as good in game as he should have been because of turnovers, while people say that Cousins could have scored more than he did.

Here is what John Wall said on the Wildcats' expectations: "It's kind of tough because we do great so much, and one night - or a couple nights in a row - they expect more from you,"

Starters:
John Wall-22 points, 10 rebounds, 37 minutes
Patrick Patterson-9 points, 4 rebounds, 33 minutes
DeMarcus Cousins-16 points, 13 rebounds, 31 minutes
Eric Bledsoe-8 points, 1 rebound, 29 minutes
Darnell Dodson-0 points, 2 rebounds, 15 minutes

Bench:
Ramon Harris-0 points, 0 rebounds, 5 minutes
DeAndre Liggins-8 points, 7 rebounds, 26 minutes
Darius Miller-0 points, 0 rebounds, 8 minutes
Daniel Orton-3 points, 3 rebounds, 16 minutes

Next, Kentucky will host rival, Tennessee.  It will be the game of the week, and ESPN's College Gameday crew will be in Rupp Arena to host the show.  The game is set for Saturday at 9:00 PM ET and is televised one ESPN.
