The Cincinnati Reds have agreed to a deal with left-handed reliever, Bill Bray. This deal avoids arbitration, and is a one-year deal worth $645,000.
There are now 37 arbitration-eligible players in the league who are yet to work out a deal with their clubs, two of them happen to be Dominican pitchers, one's name is Edinson Volquez, the other's is Johnny Cueto. What do those two men have in common, they play in the Queen City. The Reds are hoping to come to an agreement before there is an arbitration hearing in next month.
Volquez is asking for $2 Million, and the Reds are offering $1.3 Million. The other pitcher, Johnny Cueto is asking for $3.9 Million, while the Reds are offering $3 Million.
The Reds hope to ink these two guys soon, because they are two huge parts in the Cincinnati rotation.
