Terrelle Pryor will have a ligament in his foot stabilized in surgery Friday afternoon as the result of an injury suffered in Tuesday's Sugar Bowl.
Late in the fourth quarter of Ohio State's win over Arkansas, Pryor injured his foot on a quarterback sneak. After one more play he left the game, and was said to have been limping heavily afterward.
Pryor won MVP honors in the game after throwing for 221 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for another 115 yards.
No timetable has been given for Pryor's recovery, but he should have plenty of time to recover. Pryor is suspended for the first five games of the 2011 seasonalong with four teammates, but was allowed to play in the Sugar Bowl, after an investigation into whether players were trading autographs for free tattoos.
Pryor could have elected for the NFL draft this offseason, but all of the suspended players vowed to return to Ohio State in 2011.
