The New York Mets defeat the Cincinnati Reds 4-0 tonight. Johan Santana gets the victory tonight and Johnny Cueto picks up the loss. In the bottom of the first inning, Jeff Francouer hit a single that scored Angel Pagan and Luis Castillo. The Mets are winning 2-0. On that play Jay Bruce would fracture his wrist and leave the game. Bruce is expected to be out 4-6 weeks at the least. Omir Santos would singled also in the bottom of the first scoring David Wright. 3-0 New York. In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Luis Castillo singled and Angel Pagan scored. 4-0 Mets winning and that would be the final score of tonight's game. Tune in tomorrow for the last game before the All-Star break. Tomorrow's pitching match up will be between Aaron Harang (5-8) vs Mike Pelfrey (6-4) Starting time in game 3 is set for 1:10 PM.
