Orlando Cabrera Placed On 15-Day DL

The Cincinnati Reds placed SS Orlando Cabrera on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique from his last at bat during last night's game vs the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dusty Baker and the Reds are unaware of how long Orlando Cabrera will be out with this injury. Cincinnati recalled infielder Juan Francisco from AAA Louisville. Cabrera was hitting .260 with 37 RBIs and 51 runs scored. Francisco hit .286 with 16 home runs and 53 RBIs in 67 games for the Bats. Juan Francisco originally made the team out of spring training this season but was sent back down to make room for Mike Leake on the 25-man active roster.  As a September call up last season, Juan Francisco hit .429 with one home run and seven RBIs in 14 games. Paul Janish will be in the starting line up tonight at shortstop filling in for the injured Orlando Cabrera.
