The #23 Kentucky Wildcats were hosting the #20 Vanderbilt Commodores. UK was looking for their 21st win of the season, and to stay perfect at home. Vanderbilt was looking to end the Wildcat's home winning streak, and earn their 22nd win of the year. Kentucky was the team that accomplished their goal, as they win it, 68-66.
In the 1st half, Kentucky looked very good, and took a 40-29 lead into the locker room.
But, the Commodores would out-play the 'Cats in the 2nd half. Vandy scored 37 2nd-half-points, while Kentucky scored 28. But, UK got the win, and that's all that matters. They finally win a close game too, they snapped an 0-6 skid in games that were decided by 5 or less points.
Brandon Knight led the way with 17 points. Terrence Jones had a near double-double, as he had 15 points and 9 boards. Darius Miller added 12 points, while Doron Lamb added 9.
With this win, Kentucky goes to 21-8 overall, and improve to 9-6 in the SEC. Vanderbilt falls to 21-8 overall, and 9-6 in the SEC, so both teams with the same exact record.
Next, the Wildcats will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, to take on their hated rivals, the Tennessee Volunteers. That game will be Sunday at Noon ET and on CBS.
