Xavier gets back on track, beats Kent State

By: Cooper Ledford

The Xavier Musketeers were hosting Kent State Friday. Xavier was coming off a loss in the Old Spice Classic to Baylor. The Muskies were able to rebound from that loss and beat Kent State 77-61.

Jordan Crawford had a great night, again. Crawford had 21 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Jordan was also 5-7 behind the arc.

Jason Love, the senior center, had a good night. With 10 points and 10 rebounds, along with four blocked shots. The double-double was Love's fourth on the season.

Sophomore guard, Terrell Holloway had double digits as well. Holloway scored 13 points on 3-4 shooting. He also had five assists.

The game went in a fair order. In the first half each team had the lead back and fourth. To go into the half, the X-man came from behind and took a 36-34 halftime lead. The Golden Flashes did not do as well in the second half, but fortunately the Musketeers did. Once again XU wins 77-61.

Next Xavier will go to the "Little Apple" to play Kansas State. This game will be at 9:00PM ET on the 8th and will be televised on ESPNU.
