Buckeyes Destroy EMU

By:  Cooper Ledford

The #2 Ohio State Buckeyes were hosting Eastern Michigan, Saturday.  EMU had lost 15 strait, and the Buckeyes were trying to make it 16 strait, and that they did.  This was not even a game, it was over at the end of the 1st quarter.  But, since there are a lot of Buckeye fans that may not have seen this game, weather they were busy or what, I will make a recap with ALL of the scoring plays, here it is, the recap of the Buckeyes 73-20 win.

In the 1st quarter, Terrelle Pryor ran for a 53 yard touchdown, 7-0 OSU on top.  Then, about 3 minutes later, Pryor connected with Dane Sanzenbacher in the endzone from 31 yards out, 14-0 the score.  Ohio State would then get a 42 yard field goal by Devin Barclay to make the score 17-0.  Then, to finish off the scoring of the 1st quarter, Dan Herron rushed for a 7 yard score, 24-0 the score.

The Eagles would then get on the board in the 2nd quarter, when Priest ran it in from 2 yards out, 24-7 the score.

Ohio State would answer back with a 9 yard touchdown pass from Pryor to Sanzenbacher, 31-7 the score.  Then, 3 minutes later, it would be the same combination, with the same result, a touchdown pass from Terrelle Pryor to Dane Sanzenbacher, a 7 yard score, 38-7 the score.

EMU would get a touchdown with about 1 minute left in the half, when Gillett found Kinsman Thomas for a 13 yard TD pass, that made it 38-14 at the half.

The Men Of The Scarlet And Gray would answer back with a touchdown pass from Terrelle Pryor to, who else, Dane Sanzenbacher, a touchdown, Pryor and Sanzy's 4th of the game, 45-14 the score.

Eastern Michigan would not give up though, as Gillett connected with Scott for a 32 yard touchdown pass, but the PAT was blocked, the score was 45-20.

Jim Tressel would then call a wild play, as the running back, Jordan Hall received the toss from Pryor, then Hall threw to Pryor for a touchdown.  Awesome!  Two high school team mates connect for a 20 yard pass, 52-20 the score going into the 4th quarter.

The 4th quarter was dominated by OSU.  The 2nd ranked team would start the scoring with a 17 yard touchdown pass from Joe Bauserman to Jordan Hall, 59-20 the score.  Then, Jaamal Berry ran for a 67yard touchdown run, a longin', 66-20 the score.  Then, the 3rd-string quarterback, Kenny Guiton ran for a 15 yard touchdown, that would make it 73-20, and that is how the blowout finished.

Terrelle Pryor did good, as he went 20/26 with 224 yards, off of 4 touchdown passes, all to Dane Sanzenbacher, and no picks.  Pryor also rushed for 104 yards, which lead the team.  Sanzenbacher is the player of the game on my opinion, as I have said twice, 4 touchdowns, he also had 9 receptions and 108 yards.

So, Ohio State is 4-0, and has a blowout win in 3 of the 4 games, and have only beaten teams that wear Green.  Next week, there will be no win versus a green team, as they will visit the Fighting Illini of Illinois for the Battle for the Illibuck trophy.   That game will be Saturday, at noon on the Big Ten Network.  Be sure to watch Redsfancoop1's Buckeye Blitz with highlights and a recap, which will be uploaded to YouTube by Monday.
