The Reds scored 3 runs in the 1st, Brandon Phillips struck out, then Cabrera singled, Votto singled,Scotty Rolen walked, then a Ramon Hernandez RBI Groundout. Then, Jonny Gomes had a 2 run double. Score=3-0 Reds.
But, In the Bottom of the 1st,Matt Holiday hit an RBI infield single to 3rd which Scored Jon Jay.
In the 2nd, Brandon Phillips had his 1st hit in this series, and it was an RBI single that scored Chirs Heisey from 2nd base.
In the 4th, it was anthor home run, but this time, from a pitcher. Travis Wood would homer to left for his first career home run. It was The 3rd homer by a pitcher this year for the Reds(Owings,Arroyo,And Now Wood). Joey Votto hit an RBI single in the 9th which scored Yonder Alonso, who got his first hit of his Career. Reds win. Tomorrow, it will be Homer Bailey (3-2 4.92 ERA) agasint Chris Carpenter (14-5 2.92 ERA). Carpenter is 8-0 in his last 8 starts against the Reds. The Game will be Televised on FS Ohio.
