Bengals Beat Eagles

By:  Cooper Ledford

The Cincinnati Bengals were hosting the Philadelphia Eagles, Friday night, a game in which I attended.  The Bengals were able to get the win, as Carson Palmer looked great, as did the Bengals defense and T.O.  The Bengals won 22-9, here is how.

After a deep pass from Carson Palmer to T.O. to put the Bengals at the 6 yard line, and 1st and goal, Bernanrd Scott was able to run it in for a touchdown, 7-0 Bengals on top in the 2nd quarter with 08:44 to go.

The Eagles would get two field goals in the 2nd quarter by David Akers, that would make it 7-6 going into the half.  There was no scoring until late in the 3rd quarter, when David Akers nailed a 48 yard field goal, that gave Philly their first lead of the game, 9-7.  But, Cincinnati did not care.

With 11:41 to go in the 4th quarter, Cedric Peerman ran it in from 22 yards out, and the Bengals had their lead back, and then they went for 2.  Peerman was the man who ran it in for the 2-pointer, so it was 15-9 with Cincinnati on top.  Then, with 03:14 to go in the 4th, Peerman was at it again, with a 1 yard touchdown run, after his first two tries were unsuccessful, but it was a touchdown this time, 22-9 the score, and that is how she finished.

Cedric Peerman is definitely the player of the game, as he had 12 carries, for 47 yards, 2 TD's, and a 2-point run.

The Bengals will play again on the 28th, as they will be in Buffalo taking on the Bills.  Game time is set for 6:30 PM ET, and will be televised on CBS-WKRC 12 (Local 12).  Check your local listings.
