Bengals A "No Show" in H.O.F. Game

The 2010 NFL Preseason got underway tonight in the 2010 Hall of Fame Game that featured the Dallas Cowboys vs the Cincinnati Bengals at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio. Dallas won the game 16-7. A very low scoring game but it is to be expected since it is the first preseason game of the year. Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Russ Grimm, Rickey Jackson, John Randle, Dick LeBeau and Floyd Little all were inducted into the 2010 Hall of Fame class.

Dallas would score first with 9:25 to go in the 1st Qtr. David Buehler kicked a 20-yd FG to give Dallas a 3-0 lead. In the 2nd Qtr, David Buehler kicked another field goal with 6:11 left to go. This one would be 34 yards and Dallas would go up by six. With 9:03 left in the 3rd Qtr, David Buehler was on to kick another FG. This one was 23 yards and the Cowboys took a 9-0 lead. With 9:23 left in the 4th quarter, Jordan Palmer through an interception to DE Brandon Sharpe that was returned for a 6-yard TD. Dallas would go up by 16. Later in the 4th quarter, the Bengals would finally get going, too little, too late when Jordan Shipley returned the Dallas punt for 63 yards at the Dallas 2-yard line. That would set up a 1-yard TD pass from Jordan Palmer to Darius Hill. Cincinnati would lose 16-7.

You can catch Cincinnati's next game Sunday, August 15, 2010, 7:00PM EDT when they take on the Denver Broncos in their first official preseason game of 2010.
